Welcome to our Events Page!
This is where we post information for all our upcoming events. For our gatherings, we send out invites using email addresses that are in each alumna's record with Kappa Alpha Theta Headquarters.
If you are not receiving invites, please make sure you update your contact info with Theta: kappaalphatheta.org,
1-888-526-1870. NOTE: The system seems to dislike comcast.net email addresses. If you use Comcast and want to receive emails, you'll need to provide a new email address (iCloud or gmail, for example).
DAY OF SERVICE 2019
DAY OF SERVICE 2019
Our Founders Day celebration was a great success! Theta Alumnae and Collegiates enjoyed a delicious lunch, photo booth, a champagne toast, and our new scholarship fundraiser, Dessert Dash.
We have completed the "makeover" of the Clackamas County Juvenile Court waiting room, where most CASA cases await their time in court. We have added a family friendly vibe to a formerly sad, bland room!
Please bring donations to Sara Shannon's house, 1730 Northshore Rd., Lake Oswego,
on our Day of Service, October 19th between 9am and noon.
If you are unable to deliver that day, please call or email to make other arrangements: (503)675-3898, firstname.lastname@example.org
Our Annual Holiday Party was a success, with everyone taking home a sweet Theta-themed gift...along with the gift of Theta sisterhood and holiday cheer! Thanks to Beth Burris for opening her beautifully decorated home to us.
Day of Service
We collected donations to make over the waiting room at the Clackamas County Juvenile Court, where CASA cases are heard. Donations will be accepted on an ongoing basis-- see above.
Cannon Beach Brunch & Play
A group of alums carpooled to Cannon Beach where we were hosted by our own Laura Freedman for a lovely brunch then a play at Cannon Beach Theatre. Attendees thought the play was excellent, and in fact may go see it a second time. The words "poignant" and "relevant" were used to describe it.
We enjoyed a potluck supper at Sara Shannon's lakeside home and learned about our new Philanthropy Committee's work to support CASA. Deb Brusie of CASA for Children (Multnomah,Washington & Columbia counties) gave an informative presentation.
Wine & Plant
Thetas gathered at Al's Garden Center to create macramé plant hangers. A knotty time was had by all!
Our significant others joined us for cocktails and golfing fun in Hillsboro.
